1) In Writer, click on the Insert Line button in the main toolbar.
2) Draw a 100 mm line using the onscreen ruler as a guide.
3) Set the page zoom of the Writer document to 100%
4) Measure the line with a physical ruler : actual length 145 mm
5) Reducing Writer page zoom to 69% displays an actual 100 mm line.
