Not when you just user "Default" (which can be a language setting - is imho
similar to "the System's")  and your Systems parameters change ;-)

It is good practice to put formatting always into the form, never into the
data/table. This is one reason why you need to have a data dictionary (or in
general: documentation).
And form format setting *will* trump table format settings always!

Nevertheless: If there is a possibility to define a format in table definition,
this should be stored correctly and not be subject to random changes.
