You are describing two whole issue categories. The opening time is depedent on
the individual file. The more complex a file is, the more time it can take.
There are possibilities to optimise the opening time on a case by case basis.
Likewise, interoperability with MSO is a huge category and we have a multitude
of meta reports collecting these issues.
You have to be more specific for your report to be useful.
For examples on interop issues, visit this page and filter by ooxml in the

Then view the dependency trees of these meta reports.
