I do not fully understand how you do this.
If I cut a part away, and past it in another cell, either the first cell misses
text, or the two parts separated by a space are not in one cell.
Can you please write step by step?
And provide your test document as well?

Bu no means I can reproduce have that effect.
(Mind that 6.0.7.3 is a little older. 6.1.6.3 will be released tomorrow and we
also have 6.2.2 available)
