Did you also try it without adding the port?
host=localhost dbname=mydb
Have tried it without the port and haven't any problem. If I try to add the
port "could not translate hostname localhost:5432" appears.
Tested with OpenSUSE 15, LO 6.2.3.2 64bit rpm
