On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this.
I submitted a patch to gerrit here:

It concerns only hsqldb.
About Firebird, I don't reproduce this.
I noticed there's no AddIndexAppendix quotation in Drivers.xcu from Firebird
