            Bug ID: 125973
Summary: line breaking: Long lines break only in second row
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 6.2.4.2 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Demonstrates the strange breaking behaviour for long lines

Reproduce:

1) write the following in a document:
a
bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbebbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
c

(the bs should exceed one line in length.

2) Format paragraph to hyphonize

3)

Expected:
Fill first line with as much "b"s as possible - maybe hyphonize at "e"

Actual:
First row is almost empty. "b"-word breaks in second line

Notes:
 - If "b"-word would not break inside the second line, the actual behaviour
would be understandable. But the word has to break anyway. Therefore it looks
strange having an almost completely empty first row.

@ Attachment: Demonstrates behaviour for inside table and inside page
