Priority: medium
Bug ID: 56361
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING: Regression: cannot edit page anchored stuff
placed above the upper page margin
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 3.6.3.1 rc
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
I have some text documents where there is a relatively large upper page margin
leaving space for a company logo and a table of document metadata.
This stuff is not inserted in a page header, but is simply anchored to the
page. For the table this is managed using a page anchored text frame.
With past versions of LibO, it was possible to edit this material, change the
column width of the table, etc by simply clicking on these elements.
Now, if I click on these elements, the elements do not get selected.
Conversely, a line evidencing the page top margin appears, together with a
callout with a + button to activate the page header.
A workaround to be able to edit the material anchored to the page above the top
page margin is to temporarily enable the header and to disable it afterwords.
Apache Openoffice can deal with this situation just fine, as older versions of
LibO used to do.
To reproduce
1) open the attached doc
2) Try to resize the columns of the table with the date.
What happens
- when you put the cursor over a cell edge, the cursor changes into a double
arrow. However, trying to drag the border left or right fails to move the
border and to resize the column.
What should happen
- after the cursor is changed into a double arrow, dragging the cell border
left or right should resize the column
Platform (if different from the browser):
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/16.0
