There are two interesting states between 4.2 and 4.4, one started exporting the
inner textbox anchored as-character, and another moved the anchor outside the
frame.
The first change was bibisected to the following commit using repo
bibisect-43max, but the result doesn't seem correct (it's the less important
difference, anyway):
