I am now using version
Version: 6.2.5.2
Build ID: 20(Build:2)
CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 5.2; UI render: default; VCL: kde5;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded
And it works as you described. I still wish this were clearer, possibly a tool
tip that explains whats expected, although please see bug

as that one makes this bug even more confusing.
