          Priority: medium

          Assignee: [email protected]
           Summary: : File Conversion
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: All
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 3.5.2 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:
Attempted to open a Word 2003 file in Writer. LibreOffice seems to think that
the file was an HTML file as it shows a dialog titled ASCII Filter Options
with:
Character Set - 'Western Europe (Windows1252/WinLatin highlighted.
Default Fonts - Times New Roman
Language - English (Australia)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Selected OK button at Character Set
2. Status line shows 'Importing Document
3. Document is not imported
4. Blank page displayed with 'Not Responding' displayed in the title bar.
5. Closed Writer.
6. On reopening Writer, dialog displays to recover a document.
7. On accepting to recover, the document recovered is the initial blank
document displayed when initially opening Writer.

Current behavior:
As above
Expected behavior:
Correct import of Word 2003 document.
Note: The same document was imported correctly in the previous version of
LibreOffice. (Sorry, can't remember which version but suspect it was the
release version before 3.5.2).

Platform (if different from the browser):

Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/537.4 (KHTML, like Gecko)
Chrome/22.0.1229.94 Safari/537.4
