Michael Mackus <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Version|3.5.6.2 release |3.6.2.2 release Component|Libreoffice |Spreadsheet --- Comment #8 from Michael Mackus <[email protected]> --- I'm having a similar problem. This triggers on 1 XLS file I opened from a client - all other XLS files on my system seem to work fine. Unfortunately, I can't provide the XLS file as it contains user/pass information that cannot be made public. When I open the file, LibreOffice opens a "Text Import" screen. I've tried a multitude of different options, but the end result is the "data" comes up as being corrupted. (I've tried different charsets, like UTF-8, to no avail - UTF-8 just brings the data to come up as those standard unicode "boxes".) Opening the file in a hex editor, I do notice that it looks quite a bit different from another XLS file I have (that opens fine). I can see the data in here, but its offset like an XLS file but it seems to be offset a little differently. (Sorry, very limited hex/xls experience...) Let me know if there's any way for me to help. Again, unfortunately I can't provide this file but I would if I could. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
