LO has already a AutoRecovery feature.
Please check Menu Tools/Options/Load/Save/General/
Save
[ ] Save AutoRecovery information every x Minutes
Does that correspond to your ideas?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'.
Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested info is provided.
