No repro with embedded hsqldb 1.8 in an ODB file, using :
Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+
Build ID: e04b6f3c0cdacf2a3cdcd3f34bad54c8764ff1ed
CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.14.6; UI render: default; VCL: osx;
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded
so I'm guessing that this is specific to the use of the 2.5.0 version of the
external hsqldb engine (split database).
