Linux LO packages on official websites are more for package maintainers.

Please use Debian repo to upgrade LO.

Also, have in mind that Debian stable is more for servers and so have robust
but old versions.
For a desktop, I'd rather use Debian testing. Of course, in a company, perhaps
you won't have the choice.

Now it's also possible to stick to stable but use testing packages, see
https://serverfault.com/questions/22414/how-can-i-run-debian-stable-but-install-some-packages-from-testing.
Of course, it will fetch LO packages from testing but also its dependencies I
think.
