Priority: medium
Bug ID: 56968
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: EDITING, UI: Select object autoscrolls document
Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 3.6.2.2 release
Component: Writer
Product: LibreOffice
When selecting an object in the Writer main interface, writer autoscrolls the
document to show the anchor, if you then scroll away from the anchor there is a
half a second pause after scrolling until the document jump back to the anchor.
This becomes a problem when the anchor and bottom of the object are not both
visible in the editin window at the same time, as it then becomes impossible to
resize/rotate/adjust the object using the bottom handles.
To Reproduce:
1. Open Writer
2. Insert a large object (picture, fontwork, formula, etc)
3. Resize until larger than editing display area
4. anchor to paragraph (occurs with all, but this is most reliable)
5. scroll down to the bottom of the object (the anchor icon should no longer be
visible)
6. Writer will jump back to the anchor before you have a chance to use the
handles (resize, rotate, skew, etc)
