I indeed have packagekit in version 1.1.10-lp151.8.3.1 installed. Deinstalling
packagekit didn't resolve the problem.
I must admit that I have removed some asian fonts I thought to be not
necessary. I installed the libreoffice-i10n package for chinese and hindi
without any success.
Freetype2 version 2.10.1 with subpixel patch built in OBS is installed.
Changing back to oss version 2.9.0 did not resolve the problem.
