I have time to play around with the issue and have found that there seems to be
a conflict with the Nvidia driver used with Mageia Linux and KDE only. I am
assuming that this issue is most likely to happen with other Linux distros
where a user is trying to install the .rpm files from the LibreOffice download
pages.
There has been a "crashreport" generated that you can find details here:

This will hopefully help with resolving this issue. The temporary fix is to log
into any desktop manager such as LXDE where the .rpm packages work out as they
should.
Note that there is the same issue with the 6.3.x LibreOffice .rpm downloaded
from the LibreOffice website.
