Example .xls file which could not be opened in LibO - general i/o error
LibreOffice Version 3.6.3.2 (Build ID: 58f22d5) Final Russian UI/Locale on
Russian Windows XP Professional SP3 (32bit)
If we try to open attached file in LibO, "General input/output error." occurs.
In Apache Open Office 3.4.1 Final file could be opened ONLY if Java is
installed and "Use a Java environment" is set to on. Without Java file could
not be opened and AOO shows warning (translated from russian) "To perform this
task Openoffice.org needs installed Java environment. The use of Java has been
disabled. Would you allow the use of Java?"
In LibO with or without Java file could not be opened, Libo do not ask to
install or activate use of Java and always crashes with "General input/output
error."
In MS Office 2007 SP3 warning is shown (translated from russian) "The actual
format of file is different from pointing to their file name extension. Before
opening file, make sure it is not damaged and it is from a trusted source.",
but file is opened without any problems.
