          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 57103
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: VIEWING, TABLE: Captions display as "Number range
[category]" instead of numbers after opening certain
                    documents
          Severity: major
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 3.5.3 release
         Component: Writer
           Product: LibreOffice

Screenshot

How to reproduce:
1- Insert certain object(s) in a Writer document (it seems to happen after
choosing a format to save it in). The bug is triggered even when saving in ODT
format.

2- Right-click/open contextual menu on the aforementioned object

3- Click 'Caption…'

4- Caption the object, the "number field" reads "Number range [caption
category]" (e.g.: Illustration: Number range Illustration)

Attached is a screenshot of what the bug looks like.
Attached in the next post is a document where only steps 2 to 4 need to be
performed.

It is to note that once the bug is triggered, all captions stop working.
This is a major bug as it means I can't use automatic numbering (thus no
automatic table of figures, etc).
