Seems more likely than not to be a driver issue but what would help: Version of LibO Does it happen no matter what document you are working on? Can you control your computer outside of LibO when this occurs? Any other LibO components (writer, presentation, etc...) display this? Is the timing consistent for freezes? Are any other programs open consistently when this happens? What kernel are you running? What graphics card do you have? Marking as NEEDINFO.
