Thanks for the response.  I took the action as requested and can report that
opening in safe-mode and subsequently resetting the user profile both eliminate
the issue.   I had not considered this course of action as it was a fresh
install, however the profile must have become corrupted during initial
installation.  Thanks again for the response and the logical suggestion.  I
have changed the status to 'resolved'.  Rgds.
