Alberto: .deb or .rpm from official website are more for package repository
maintainers.
Indeed, you must deal with dependencies.
So you should instead use repository from your Linux distribution.
Could you give it a try?
If it fails what Linux distrib do you use and what's the last LO version from
its repo?
