--- Comment #7 from N Thomas <[email protected]> ---
Further to a recent email from the team (ref: "To make sure we're focusing on
the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters
and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for
over a year.")

I have done further testing with a basic Calc-produced .xls and .xlsx file
which was then opened in MS Excel. As per the original bug, the comments saved
within the Calc produced .xls files are respected by MS Excel only in so far as
they print using "Displayed at end of sheet", but are not respected when "As
displayed in sheet". I conclude there is something anomalous between how Calc
saves an .xls file versus how Excel does.

I have tried the same test using .xlsx file and I can report that with my basic
test, the .xlsx file which was originated in Calc does indeed print properly
when loaded by Excel.

I can supply the attachments if so required. (currently using Version: 6.3.2.2
(x64) Build ID: 98b30e735bda24bc04ab42594c85f7fd8be07b9c)
