okay, now I get where you are aiming at.
A reference to an external spreadsheet can be set up via Menu Insert | Object |
OLE | "import from file" but I understand you are asking for a way to
1) change the data source of an existing diagram in Writer after it was created
AND
2) have a diagram refer to another table object within the same writer document
Is that correct?
As a workaround you can use two external spreadsheet files where file A
contains the data table and file B contains the diagram (sourcing it's data
from file A). You can then insert both files via OLE into your writer document,
respectively, to get any combination of data sources and diagrams.
