--- Comment #11 from Jeremy <[email protected]> --- I have a similar problem, with some specific .xls files opening with the 'text import' wizard - and on clicking 'ok' getting a corrupt spread-sheet. This happens under LibreOffice 3.5.7.2 and 3.6.3.2, running on Windows XP/SP3 (Professional or Home), opening the file from Windows Explorer. The spreadsheets appear different under 3.5.7 and 3.6.3. (Using File Open from LO leads to ASCII filter options panel, and meaningless Writer document) This did not happen under earlier version(s) of LO, for those files I then had - they opened ok. The files in question came from an Apple-Mac, running Mac OS X 10.5.8 . Created there by "Excel [which] comes as an option for saving spreadsheets and passing them to other Macs and PCs. It is part of Numbers '09 version 2.0.5 which I bought as part of iWork '09 package version 9.0.3." Opening one using Microsoft Excel 2003 worked ok; on doing save as a new_name.xls (no other changes), the resultant file opened ok in LO (size had dropped from 43KB to 39KB) Other .xls files (from other (varied) sources) open ok, as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
