Hm, can’t confirm this with LibreOffice 3.6.4.1 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. For me, it
works *exactly* as you expected (or, as I understand what you expected): if,
after saving the .odt file as a PDF, I open the next file via “File > Open...”,
the open dialog presents to me the same folder/directory I used the last time
to open a document.

But, of course, this may depend on the OS. All I can say that in LibO for Mac
OS X, there is no such bug, at least not with the default configuration.
