          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 57759
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: VIEWING: Gradient in metafile object is not rotated
together with object if anti-aliasing is off.
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Windows (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
            Status: NEW
           Version: 3.3.0 Beta2
         Component: Presentation
           Product: LibreOffice

I saw this in "AOOo#55029 - Gradient in rotated shape looses rotation in
presentation mode"

Steps how to reproduce with parallel installation of "LOdev 4.0.0.0.alpha1
- ENGLISH UI / German Locale [Build ID: dec8fe)]" {tinderbox: @6, pull time
2012-11-13 06:07:28} on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) with separate /4 User
Profile for Master Branch:

1. download AOOo Sample <https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=79843>
2. Open sample from LibO Start Center
3. (If necessary) in menu
'Tools → Options → LibO → View → Graphics output – Anti Aliasing'
switch OFF Anti Aliasing' and wait 10s
   > You will see that the gradients in the GDI Metafile objects in the
right column have the same orientation as the gradients in the objects
in the left 2 columns, although the objects in the right column are rotate
4. <f9> for SLIDESHOW
   > Looks like in edit mode
5. <esc> for back to edit mode
6. in menu
'Tools → Options → LibO → View → Graphics output – Anti Aliasing'
switch ON Anti Aliasing' and wait 10s
Now (unexpectedly?) gradients in objects in GDI Metafile follow the
rotation of the shape (I saw the same behavior with an SVM exporte and
inserted, but not with EMF and WMF)
7. <f9> for SLIDESHOW
   > Looks DIFFERENT from edit mode here the gradients do not follow the
     rotation

Same with LibO 3.6.4.3. and all more or less inherited from OOo.

The effect is crystal clear, and also I think no discussion is required that
there may not be a dependency to anti aliasing.

I am pretty sure that the intended behavior is that the GDI (and SVM) objects
should behave like .png pictures, gradient follows the object rotation.

So I believe we have 2 bugs here

1. (also in Draw): Gradient does not follow object rotation of GDI (SVM)
object. That's a very old bug already in OOo 3.1.1. In OOo 3.1.1 Anti aliasing
did not heal the bug, and in current LibO Versions the anti aliasing behavior
seems to be a half fix?

2. In Presentation Gradient never follows object rotation of GDI (SVM) object

No idea whether these effects should be splitted into to Bug reports.

NEW due to AOOo issue.
