Just a couple of comments just in case they may be of help:
1. Charts are there, they are just not properly referred in content.xml: if you
edit the generated content.xml file after conversion and change manually the
draw:object xlink:href attribute the chart reappears.
2. IMPORTANT: Even though the chart reappears the accesibility info, i.e. alt
text is lost.
