Priority: medium
Bug ID: 57898
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Chart categories set in lidreoffice 3.6 disappear when
opened in earlier versions of libreoffice
Severity: critical
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 3.6.3.2 release
Component: Chart
Product: LibreOffice
Created attachment 71016
--> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=71016&action=edit
Chart categories created in libreoffice 3.6.3 are lost in earlier versions of
libreoffice
The problem consists of 2 parts. When copy charts from spreadsheets to text
documents, numbered categories are appearing in date format in data table, but
normally (as numbers) in chart. That would not be a big problem.
When text files with such charts (attached file) are opened in earlier versions
of libreoffice, categories field in data table is empty. This is not happening
with charts created in text file. It seems that all numeric values in
categories in charts created in calc are lost in writer, when opened in earlier
versions
When opened in 4.0 alpha, charts categories are appearing in data sheet in date
format and appears normally in chart.
It is serious regression making incompatible 3.6 and further versions with
earlier versions of libreoffice.
