Another update: ODS sometimes works, which seems to depend on the "perspective"
that is being used in the app, e.g. I can open a specific ODS file when it
appears in the "Recent Files" at the top of Samsung's "My Files" app, or when
navigating to "Internal Storage" -> "Downloads" and selecting the file there,
but not when using "Category" -> "Downloads" on the start screen of the app.
I don't have the impression of having understood what circumstances make the
app open ODS files or not, but this all IMHO confirms the problem is caused by
the Samsung app and not LibreOffice.
Other than ODS, ODT files consistently did not work in my tests.
