As requested, restarted in safe mode. Only difference in procedure is that you
chose "LibreOffice 6.4 drawing" in step 3.
All the lines of the square in both cases (steps 2 and 3) ARE now present and
correct, but when you generate a pdf of the document, the right-hand edge of
the square is still missing in the pdf.
