Interesting bug report. Could be a test question.
What probably happened is that you marked "Test1" italic and then typed "Test2"
and then turned off italic for Test2.
But that didn't reset chars, it actually set direct formatting of normal i.e.
not beiug italic.
So when you type enters, they carry direct formatting of being normal (so your
paste of italic is reset to normal)...weird, ha.
I will not take this as bug because it's a long know issue, already discussed,
just that I can't find a bug now. So this is either rejected or a duplicate.
Discussion was: if you set direct f. like italic and then remove italic, should
text be cleared of direct f., because now is, as explained, direct formatted as
normal without italic.
