In version 6.4.2.2x64, Windows 10-64, I can now set a maximum page size of
600.00cm x 600.00cm too.
so the problem is partly solved in windows.
factor 100
60m x 60m for large building walls paintings is a good limit
other programs have limits in km
inkscape 1000 km x 1000 km
