Samples from GamePro QuarkXpress layout files.
One of the people I follow on Twitter posted about his workflow trying to
recover items from old magazine layouts, and mentioned they were QuarkXpress
files.
He shared some samples here:

bug), with some extracted graphics.
I was not able to get LibreOffice Writer (6.3.5.2) to show anything useful from
the files.
>From the thread, they're apparently QuarkXpress 3.0 files from a Mac version.
I've also tried this with Scribus 1.5.5, and it won't load any of them.
The 3 files are:
