I don't think LO needs to aim at handling error correction exactly the same way
as Word. If Word 2003 modifies the fontsize (reduce, then reset to 20) and
saves the file, then LO opens it fine.
The WPS version is full of messages like
w/source/filter/ww8/ww8par2.cxx:3966: ::Import1Style[Document Title]
sw/source/filter/ww8/ww8scan.cxx:906: sprm longer than remaining bytes, doc or
parser is wrong
