--- Comment #7 from Baltasar <[email protected]> --- > Balthasar: perhaps an Ubuntu packaging problem, could you try to uninstall > Ubuntu LO package and give a try to LO packages from here: > FYI: latest stable version in 3.6.X is 3.6.4 Done that. Now I am working with LibreOffice version 3.6.4 (Version 3.6.4.3 (Build ID: 2ef5aff)). Operating System is obviously the same one: Ubuntu 12.10 Linux pcjbgarcia 3.5.0-20-generic #31-Ubuntu SMP Wed Dec 5 13:29:58 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux I took the exactly same steps: 1. Open writer, stay with the blank new document. 2. Drag'n'drop an image (for example, residing in the desktop) to the document 3. A new section is *automatically* created. A popup menu shows up. Click insert. (If you click cancel, then everything will be okay.) 4. Save the document. A document name will be asked for with the standard save dialog. Type the name and click Save. LibreOffice will crash. After the crash, Apport, the Ubuntu warning application for crashes pops up, showing a lot of information. Unfortunately, it cannot be copy&pasted. Here is a summary: ProblemType: Crash ExecutablePath: /op/libreoffice3.6/program/soffice.bin StackTraceAddressSignature: /opt/libreoffice/.../office.bin:11:i686:/opt/libreoffice.../ure/lib/libuno_cppuhelpergcc3.so.3+6f494:/opt/libreoffice.../libswlo,so+60c0bd:/op/libreoffice.../ ... /opt/libreoffice/libswlo.so+785869 SegvReason: Reading NULL VMA Signal 11 TopStackTrace: #0 0xb7228494 in com::sun::star::uno::WeakReferenceHelper::get() const from /op/libreoffice/.../ure-link/lib/libuno_cppuhelpergcc3.so.3 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
