Bug ID: 132748
Summary: FORMCONTROL Multiple Filters create crash
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.3.3.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: m...@solutions.org.nz
Description:
Adding more than about 5 filters (more or less depending on complexity of
query) causes the file to crash.
Either
1/ Create a control to limit the amount of filters a user can have in a given
situation, with a warning and prevention system
or 2/
Adjust memory usage to allow unlimited filters.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tab with over 2000 lines, 38 columns
2. Multiple filers (more than 5, with varying complexity of query)
Actual Results:
At first the filter operates slowly with a blue circle, then as more memory is
required it simply crashes and Calc disappears altogether.
Expected Results:
s more memory is required it simply crashes and Calc disappears altogether.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
It should have either warned me this was too complex for my environment or it
should have performed the filter operation.
At first glance resetting USer Profile seems to have worked, but Im this far
through the report and will finish it anyway, because doing this corrupted the
user profile somehow and it would be good for it to be fixed so people dont
have to go through this and be forced to operate in Safe Mode.
