well, it should work because it is technically already working to use an dotx
template for a single case. Just the UI does not allow it to make it standard
:-)
1) If it is not working BY PURPOSE currently, that I do not understand why.
2) If it is not working accidentally currently, than it should be easy to fix
(only UI).
Why is 2) not a bug?
Please remember that the UI allows to select a dotx as standard, it just does
not follow through on it.
Please reconsider and change this bug back to NEW.
