Ah, didn't realize that.. ouch
1) Ideally the toolbar should be notifying draw shape drawing is on too.
However Insert -> Shape -> Basic shape -> doesn't match the button.. grumble
2) Should the shapes sidebar tab (Draw/Impress) not also be in Writer.
