I don't think this is a duplicate of that.
More likely belongs to the family of "things you can't do to the Writer grouped
shapes text box" that you can in Word / normal Writer shapes:
- Set Paragraph styles: bug #96642
- Set Bullets&Numbering: bug #122960
- Set hyperlink: bug #126426
- Insert image: bug #81958
- Insert fields: this one.
