          Priority: medium
            Bug ID: 58419
          Keywords: regression
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: : Lodev 4 (libreoffice4 beta1) does not even start
          Severity: normal
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux (All)
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
        Whiteboard: BSA
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
           Version: 4.0.0.0.beta1
         Component: Libreoffice
           Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:

tried to install Lodev from the deb files (deb 64 bit ita), and the application
does not even start in ubunut 12.10 (in fact kubuntu).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install the deb files
(here you see the debian menus deb failing if libreoffice is already
installed)
2. Start the application from the shell: /opt/lodev4.0/program/soffice

Current behavior:

At the first invocation, you see the libreoffice logo, with the beta sign and a
progress bar. When the preogress bar finishes, the logo disappears and that is
all.
At the second invocation you see the libreoffice logo rapidly flashing and that
is all.

Expected behavior:

The application starts and is usable
Operating System: Ubuntu
Last worked in: 3.6.4.3 release
