Me neither, quite a lot off-topic.
Searching with restriction to attributes should work as designed, meaning
Format > Font = <foo> should return the results. It does for me (dummy text,
one word with C059 font, format = font name and font size). So not an UX topic.

Search for character styles is a similar RFE as in bug 133300 about page style.
Proposal was to have a new tab that not only allows to search for paragraph
styles but also other styles.
