i restarted - as recommended - in safe mode to see if the problem with the menu
items is still there. it disappeared - so it can't be a problem of the profile
as it says in
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile
so the grafic problem is solved.
and about the freeze: i will observe what happens and then will report back.
