--- Comment #1 from y3kcjd5 <[email protected]> --- Created attachment 72108 --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=72108&action=edit Screenshot of top half of inexplicable space Today I just happened to encounter the more serious, sporadic version of this problem. I was working in v3.6.4 and had imported a document from HTML (copy-paste). The text imported as the 'Preformatted Text' style and amounted to 8 pages. When I used Search & Replace to replace 'Preformatted Text' with 'Text Body' (which I had already customized with a template) the resulting 6-page document exhibited the aforementioned spacing problems. In examining these screenshots, be aware that my template specifies RTF reading order and that this is Japanese, so text lines read from top to bottom and are arranged from right to left. In addition, my template has split pages into five columns (that appear as rows, due to reading order). In this first screenshot, we may see the text end in a normal-looking fashion near the bottom left corner of the upper page, leaving the subsequent page blank (though the astute may already wonder why the following empty page is even displayed if no more content is to continue). Most significantly, however, I would ask you to note the following: a. The paragraph spacing (spacing between the lines) here is consistent with that as defined by the styles in this document b. Though unrelated to this bug, this document is an example where I would like to be able to perform a complex search for paragraph breaks and selectively replace them with line breaks (see bug 58744) c. Remember the position of the '出来るからだ。' string visible in larger font size at the bottom right corner of the upper page, we will use this as a location reference. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
