Currently, that list allows for 'family missing' family fallback(-s). What if it gave hints for the 'glyph missing' family fallback(-s), too? 2) Extend the functionality of 'options->fonts' dialog. That would require adding a third column of checkboxes with meaning 'substitute if glyphs are missing'.
