Julien - Thank you for your comment.

Yes, I have removed my user profile, both by using the instructions and by
deleting: C:\Users\MH\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice.

I still have the problem - even after de-install then re-install.

I am using 64 bit with 64 bit Java.

If I set up a new user on the PC, then all is good for that new user.

So, something appears to be left behind and is causing the failure.
