Also having this problem after installing on Mac OS 10.15.6. Providing full
disk access fixed the problem.
There is another problem here in that the beachball just spins and then the
focus returns to the app with no explanation. There should at least be a modal
dialog explaining what happened.
Clearly the installation process is not working as seamlessly as it should.
