The file contains paragraphs in different styles and a table for copying
material into it.

The 'test_file_paragraph_formatting_in_table' shows another aspect of the
general problem: If you copy a word from one of the custom paragraphs in the
document into the empty table cell, the entire cell assumes that custom format.
This is not what the user wants. As said before, there is a difference between
a character style and a block style. If I only paste a string of characters
into a different block, I may wish to preserve the character formatting; but I
definitely do not wish to impose the formatting of the source paragraph onto
the target paragraph.
