That is very encouraging. The safe mode dialog allows you to reset your user
profile (at the bottom, Reset to factory settings, entire profile). You will
lose any possible customisations like keyboard shortcuts, menu items, toolbar
buttons... hopefully you don't have any :)

If everything works normally after that (in non-safe mode), we can close this
